Carnegie honors USC President Nikias with Academic Leadership Award – grant money committed to USC Scholar Distinctions
The Carnegie Corporation of New York honored USC President C. L. Max Nikias today with its Academic Leadership Award which comes with a $500,000 grant. Nikias has pledged the grant money to undergraduate scholarships for low-income students, the USC Neighborhood Academic Initiative and the Discovery and Global Scholars distinctions.
Alumnae first from USC to win fellowship
Abigail Gregg and Laura Wang, two alumnae of the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, became the first USC graduates to receive J. William Fulbright-Hillary Rodham Clinton Fellowships, landing them professional placements as special assistants to foreign ministries.
