Merit Scholarships

Administered through the Office of Admission, USC Merit Scholarships require students to apply for admission to the university by the December deadline. All students who submit a complete application will be automatically considered for a scholarship. Academic Honors and Fellowships provides general advising and programmatic support for students with Presidential, Trustee, Mork and Stamps scholarships.

All four scholarships cover 8 semesters of enrollment, with the exception of 10 semesters for students accepted to the 5-year Bachelor of Architecture program.

Scholarships Overview

Presidential Scholarship

Half-tuition scholarship awarded based on academic excellence, leadership, service and talent. (~200 awards). Students may also be selected for the Presidential Scholarship through the National Merit Scholarship Corporation on the basis of their PSAT performance. Entering first-year students are considered if they have been designated National Merit Finalists and name USC as their first-choice college. (Number of awards varies)

Trustee Scholarship

Full-tuition scholarship awarded based on academic excellence, leadership, service and talent. (~100 awards)

Mork Family Scholarship

Full-tuition scholarship plus $5,000/year additional housing stipend. Candidates are selected by USC faculty and staff from an extremely competitive international pool. Applicants pursue the most demanding curriculum and achieve at the highest level. (~10 awards) Learn More

Stamps Scholarship

Full-tuition scholarship plus access to a $20,000 enrichment fund over 4 years for study abroad, unpaid internships, summer research or other opportunities. In addition to academic criteria, candidates’ talent, perseverance, innovation, involvement, and leadership are considered. (~5 awards) Learn More
