First-Gen Researchers: Opportunities and Mentorship

What does it mean to be a first-generation college student doing research? Our panel of first-gen students, staff and faculty will share stories about their own research journeys. Other topics will include: cultivating relationships with faculty mentors, finding support in a research environment, and discussing guided research programs for first-gen students (Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellows, Gateway Scholars).
